Arduino/Borduino2
去年の始め頃に入手して以来、仕事で使う回路のプロトタイピングや自由工作(こっちがメインだったりして)で大活躍してきたArduinoですが、メカロボショップはイタリアの製造メーカーと正規代理店契約を結び、輸入販売を始めることにしました．
まだしばらく販売までは時間がかかりますが、どうぞお楽しみに．
さて、Arduinoですが、世界中にいろいろな形で派生モデルがあります．その中にBorduinoという米国のAdafruit Industriesの製品があります．
”Gainer”にインスパイアされてデザインされたようですが、ブレッドボードで使うにはこのスタイルが一番良いように思います．
Gainer開発者の小林さんのblogではこのBorduinoの進化形、Borduino2のプロトタイプが紹介されています．
BorduinoにUSB-Serialのチップが搭載され、さらにGainerにそっくりになりましたが、小林さんも書かれているように、これぞオープンソースハードウェアの妙味というところでしょうか．
個人的にはArduino系はGainerのようなI/Oデバイスと違って、sketchの時に接続されていればいいかな、という考えもあるので、オリジナルのBorduinoのように、FTDIのチップをなしにして組み立てやすく、安価にしておくというのもアリだと思っています．FTDIのUSB-TTLケーブル一本持っていれば、使い回しが効きますし．
Adafruit IndustriesのLimorさんとはコンタクトを続けてきたのですが、この度、当店でもAdafruit製の製品を取り扱うことにしました．Borduinoだけでなく、ユニークな製品が沢山あります．それらも取り扱いさせていただこうと思っています．
楽しみがまた一つ増えました．
